This October, Christie’s New York will present the final sales of The Ann & Gordon Getty Collection, comprised of a two-part live auction and an online auction. Completing the landmark series of sales held in October 2022 and June 2023, this grand finale features the collection from Ann Getty’s childhood home, a walnut farm outside of Sacramento known as Wheatland. Dutch Old Master still lifes by artists such as Balthasar van der Ast and Nicolaes van Verendael echo the gardens and orchards of the farm while furniture and decorative arts by makers including Chippendale and Langlois complete this triumphant collaboration of collecting traditions. Proceeds will benefit selected arts and science organizations designated by Ann and Gordon Getty.
